The Baylor Infant Twin Study

The BITS study is our flagship study. Based off previous data showing that certain cognitive process (such as attention) are linked to weight status in childhood, BITS aims to see whether this relationship exists at a very early age (4 months). BITS is constructed of several studies, such as:

Behavior Observation Pilot Phase (BOPP) which aims to develop a new measure of behaviors related to cognitive ability in infancy

and

EpiTwin which designs solutions to some of the methdological and statsitical difficulties with analyzing data on gene expression in twins.
